Last year, I lived in anxiety wondering how in the world do I know if this is the man God wants me to date? I was paralysed with uncertainties. I had met a man who loved Jesus, but did that mean we should date? I was uncertain if God was opening a door or if our meeting in an elevator was just a random occurrence.

However, the goal of such contact should be to express affection without causing sexual arousal. One thing to remember is that whenever God tells us not to do.

Getting into an unequally yoked relationship is something that a lot of single Christian women are worried about and for good reason. While visiting the rural areas of Zimbabwe I saw for the first time two oxen who were clearly unequally yoked. As a result, they end up yoking together two animals that are two totally different sizes. The greater the difference in size the more absurd it looks. The truth is that unequally yoked animals are capable of pulling a scotch cart or plow together.

They make the best of what they have and do what they have to in order to survive. Many people do the same thing in their relationships. They make the best of it and do what they think they have to do in order to get by. But this is far from ideal. Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
