I’m going to need you to take a deep breath before I break this to you. OK, here it goes. It’s been 10 years since One Direction got together. Ten years! When none of them were chosen to proceed through the competition on their own, the show put them together as a band, and One Direction was born. Though they didn’t even win on the show they placed third , these five stars practically conquered the world , selling millions of albums, touring the entire globe, and amassing an endless amount of fans along the way.

By nearly all accounts, they offered a much stronger, more entertaining performance than the last time we saw them, in July at the Target Center. Two summers ago, the five-boy band often looked tired and bored.

Sunday, there was still a bit of wandering Tomlinson was the biggest offender but the overall energy from the stage was clear. Harry Styles, the breakout star of the group, rocked shoulder-length curly locks, tons of tattoos and a knowing snarl. At times, his stage presence brought to mind a young Bono or maybe even an old Mick Jagger, who shook his stuff on the same stage last month.

Styles even pulled off a man bun for the encore. And the group made sure to play to the entire stadium.
